Troy Ruiz, a native of south Louisiana, has had a lifelong addiction to the outdoors. It all began hunting and trapping everything the bayous of Louisiana had to offer. Troy grew up working with his family in the commercial fishing industry (on a shrimp boat). During the winter months and the off-season, he spent every moment with his dad and friends chasing ducks and geese in the marshes of south Louisiana.
When he was nine, deer hunting became his chief interest and, with the invention of the Polaroid camera and compact camcorder, Troy began using pictures and video to share his experiences with friends and family.
30 years later, Troy has been producing outdoor programming with industry leaders such as: Mossy Oak Camo, Realtree, Remington Arms, Avery Outdoors, Bass Pro Shops, ESPN Outdoors, Preston Pittman Game Calls, The National Wild Turkey Federation, The National Rifle Association, Safari Club International, Head Hunters TV, and Primos Hunting Calls.
Today, Troy is back producing with the Primos crew on the “Primos Truth about Hunting TV” series for the 2017-18 season. Troy’s passion for the outdoors and sharing it with others through TV is what keeps him going. And in sharing this passion, he can only hope that it may spark the interest of others to view God’s grand creation in such a way that those watching can’t help but believe that there truly is a God who loves them.
Troy currently resides in Madison, Mississippi with wife of thirty years, Belinda.
